We keep things simple. We don’t track you, we don’t sell your information, and we only collect the bare minimum when it’s needed.
If you book a lesson, we ask for your name and email so we can reply. If you just visit the site, the only data we record is an optional anonymous cookie that helps us count visits more accurately. You may decline this recording using the "Privacy" front-page popup.
Lesson booking form: Your name and email. This information is sent directly by email to the musician, Matthew Vlcek (Matt). It’s not stored anywhere else.
Analytics cookie: With your permission, we store one cookie containing a random ID and the date of your visit. A record of that cookie is also saved in our database. This helps us avoid double-counting repeat visits. It doesn’t include your IP address or any personal details.
We use lesson form details only to respond to your booking request. We use the analytics cookie only to count site visits more accurately. That’s it.
We don’t share, sell, or give away your data. The only time we might disclose information is if we’re legally required to (for example, in response to a valid subpoena). Since the only thing stored is an anonymous cookie ID and visit date, there’s not much to hand over anyway.
Our cookie records are stored in Supabase with built-in security protections. Access is limited and requires authentication.
You must provide your name and email if you’d like to book a lesson—otherwise, we can’t respond. For the analytics cookie, you’re free to decline it, and the site will still work normally. Since the cookie is anonymous, visit records can’t be linked back to you personally.
